Emergency relief can be described as help provided to those who found themselves in some kind of emergency situation. Emergency situation is most often connected with danger which requires immediate action. We are taking here about such crisis as conflicts or natural disasters. The latter, are most often common for particular regions which require disaster relief a lot.
Different parts of the world are exposed to different threats. People living there have to face often terrible consequences of nature activity, including loss of property, diseases and even death. For some of these situations the reason is drought, for others flood, and yet for others hurricane. Sometimes the situation is really dreadful and people require immediate help.
What are emergency relief services?
At some point, emergency relief services are similar for every kind of natural disaster. They are provided by different kinds of organizations, most of them charitable. One of these organizations is our non-profit foundation Aid for Orphans Relief Foundation. We cooperate with all kinds of organizations and companies in order to support people with the best possible help. The most vulnerable are children and our actions are focused mainly on them.
Emergency relief services includes: providing children with food and safe drinking water, delivering necessary medications, helping with finding shelter, taking care of those kids who became orphans, creating mobile clinics for those who need them the most, supporting children with hygiene and wellness supplies, delivering everyday products. In most cases our actions are similar when emergency relief is considered. It doesn’t matter if we deal with flood or earthquake. We are trying to support kids with all the necessary supplies.
International aid for children in need
Natural disasters and conflicts can occur anywhere in the world. Of course some regions are more likely to be exposed to such threats. However, it does not matter where the problem appears because our emergency relief program is created in a form of international aid. We are prepared to help children in every corner of the world. There is no worse thing than loosing innocent lives due to conflicts or natural disasters. We are there to help them survive.
No matter where our help is needed, we are there. We are trying to do our best to support children in need in the time of crisis. International aid that we provide aims at helping them to survive and gives them hope for a better future. It is our main goal to save as many children lives as it is possible. Some situations are really tough but we are not going to give up. The smile on innocent children faces is the best motivation.
Disaster relief supplies – emergency relief in Philippines
One of our latest actions took place in Philippines. After a terrible typhoon lots of people lost literally everything. As much as 6,000 people died. 600,000 were displaced and medications were needed for tens of thousands people. Among them there were a lot of children. Many of them lost parents in this tragedy and became orphans in an instant. Aid for Orphans Relief Foundation had no other choice than to act immediately. So we started cooperation with other organizations in order to help those people deal with this great tragedy.
We supported mobile clinics with necessary medications for both adults and children. Unfortunately, the situation in Philippines is difficult also because of the state of health care system. Help will be also needed in coming years. We are doing our best to provide health care to every child who needs it. This task is very difficult but we believe that with your help anything is possible.
