MARGARET CHUSTECKI

Margaret I. Chustecki, M.D., MBA, Managing Director and Head Physician of Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven and Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, is the founding member and Managing Director of the Aid for Orphans Relief Foundation (AORF).

A native of Poland, she was inspired to establish the organization after visiting orphanages throughout the country and seeing firsthand their dire need for health and medical supplies. In a short period of time, she has expanded her mission to Appalachia and Africa.

Dr. Chustecki is a staff physician for Yale New Haven Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine. She is a member of the Credentialing Committee for the Independent Physician Association of Yale New Haven Hospital Medical Staff, a member of the Board of Governors for the New Haven County Medical Association and member of the Legislative Committee for the Connecticut State Medical Association engaged in committee work and testimonies before the Public Health Committee, Connecticut State Senate.

With nearly two decades of experience in practicing internal medicine, Dr. Chustecki will contribute her medical expertise to AORF by working with the facilities we assist to develop medical and wellness programs that fit the specific healthcare needs of their children.

Margaret Chustecki received her M.D. from Warsaw School of Medicine, Poland. She did her internship in ob-gyn in Warsaw and residency in internal medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and at New England Medical Center–both major teaching hospitals for Tufts Medical School in Boston, MA. She was involved in some theoretical and clinical medical research projects focusing on cardiovascular diseases and therapeutic agents. Since 2003, she served on the Board of Directors for the American Industrial Acquisition Corporation in Greenwich, CT. In 2009, Dr. Chustecki received her MBA from the Yale University School of Management in New Haven, CT.
