Helping children is the most important thing for Aid for Orphans Relief Foundation. We realize that this help is connected not only with providing children with all the necessary supplies but also with educating people about difficult situation in disadvantaged regions and orphanages. In this we are able to acquire new volunteers and funds for our charity organization. That is why we participate in and organize many events which helps us to make people aware of the needs of children around the world.
Educating people
Many people do not have a clue about what is going in certain regions of the world. The situation is really difficult in Africa – Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Philippines, and in orphanages in Poland, Appalachian region and Connecticut state. We try to educate them about this situation and needs of children who live there. We talk about malnutrition, need for clean and safe water, lifesaving vaccinations, chronic illness management, preventive care and emergency relief whenever it is needed.
Why education is important?
These meetings helps us in three areas: volunteers, funds and sponsors. People who become aware of certain things often decide to devote their time in order to improve lives of children at risk. They become our volunteers making a great contribution to our cause. Others, after knowing how live can be hard for many children, donate money for our non-profit organization. This money will help us to provide children with many needed supplies. Events are also great opportunity to find new sponsors. Without them our foundation would experience a hard time and helping children would become impossible.
That is why it is so important for us to be a part of different events and to organize ones on our own. More aware people equals more open-minded people. An open-minded people equals more help for orphans and children in different parts of the world.
